Hey Guys,
Thanks for stopping by.
Two weeks ago it was my 19th Birthday which was pretty cool, I celebrated not only by going out with friends but also making a pledge to myself that I will make this year the best yet. So I took a step back yesterday and really thought about the relationships I’ve made just lately, the assets I currently possess and how I can really move forward.
I opened up a new Google Document, (Check it out if you haven’t done so) and began to work out exactly how much I’d need per month to fund the lifestyle I want to acheive, and yes that does include a Porsche
lol .
It was more or less laid out like this…
1. Work out the monthly figure required to pay for all of your current outgoings. (Mortgage, Bills, Food etc. )
2. Once figured out split into weekly and daily income (It will seem a lot less daunting once you do this)
3. Re-calculate with some luxuries added, nice new car or home perhaps.
My next step was to look over current business goings on and the income they provide, now if you’re not involved with anything as of yet, don’t worry too much but this is the next aspect we need to look at.
I personally have quite a few products, affiliate marketing campaigns and various other business ventures that I want to persue. However I was able to narrow it down to just two projects that would #1 provide enough income to achieve my goal and #2 take no more than 2 weeks (100 hours) a month to fulfill. The reason for this being that like many others I strive for freedom and the experience working on the Internet Provides, so these 2 criteria are without a doubt very important indeed.
Number Crunching Time
This is the really cool part that get’s me really excited.
Okay so now that you’ve worked out how much you need a day, you should be able to look over your product inventory or perhaps your current affiliate marketing campaigns and determine how many sales you’d have to make to achieve it. For the affiliate marketeres among us this may be 2, 3 perhaps 4 sales a day of a product that pays out at say $50, believe me, this is very achievable. Personally my main focus now is on product development, why? because more often that not I get to keep 100% of the sale and it gives me a fantastic opportunity to deliver value to my customers. Cool so $200/day doesn’t sound too difficult huh? that’s 4 sales of someone elses product or 2-3 of your own….
If you still haven’t got a clue about the business you’d like to start, just brainstorm a few ideas you’ve had in the past and also note down some ideas about your dream business, if it’s selling t-shirts through your online store or perhaps teaching people about the strategies of Chess, ANYTHING… the most important thing is you’re doing something.
and that’s really the whole point behind this blog post, to make sure you guys are doing atleast something to help the growth of your business. Now this is in no way the only reason why I wrote this post today, but I really wanted to help out those guys that are finding it seriousley hard to decide on a niche, unable to complete competitor analysis and those struggling to get their foot through the door… and for those people I Introduce EPC.
